Anyway, backlinks aren't something that costs much, but if it's free - it's better.

Back links is an effective way of promotion. I think its a wise option to adopt in signature links....

i think the best way to promote our website is to increase its traffic and buy sponsorships of sites or pages that your prospects visit.
