Use common and effective conventional ways like web directory submission and article directory submission. The latter proves to be an effective way especially if you have articles in popular article publishing sites like ezine.com with your resource box in tow containing your website link.

Well i havent find ezine so effective as i havent seen any boost up you can simple replace the synonyms and add new for them in your articles and you can eaily approve them in ezine LOLZ this is the main disavntage of not having , too much traffic to the sites :D

I suggest article submission should not be only confined to one article publisher. You can spin your article and submit the spun versions in different article directories.

well what i do is to add article to my site and place the same article to ezine as well and most of time my articles are approved at ezine and i always go for ezine but havet got any profit yet from submissions

Approval by ezine means backlinks for you. That will definitely help in improving your site page rank. Buyers of website usually give high weight to site PR.

Maybe a little tweaking must be done. Besides if your niche is a highly competitive niche, it could be a tall order to compete with the rest. But there are other avenues for promotion which can be used and may prove to be more effective in your case.
