If u want to have traffic for your site from Google ,you have to get into it.
To get in you have to show google that you are relevant. you have to convince them to get in another site thats already into link to you. If you have that site then you can link into yourself which is in link with google.

Ya Abhishek you are right .Link Exchange with good PR sites is a right way to attract google search engine.In this forum I had place link exchange request with my PR3 + sites & looking for quality sites.

If you have a website or a blog you will expect visitor but till you are not in Google search no one is going to know about you on their own. You have to tell them that you are there. and to tell people about your website or blog you have to get indexed in Google and the best way to be indexed in Google is to link your website or blog with a site that is already listed in Google. You are absolutely right.we have to be linked to good sites which are access in google search engine.To be known by search engine.
But there is not need to go for budget.You can go for free directories & reciprocal directories listed in web.Where you can place your site links in quality directories as per your satisfaction.

you are write there is no need to opt any budget Directory submission services to get indexed in any search engine but i mentioned the thing only because all the process takes to much time and every one doesn't have this much time to submit their site in various Directories.
